Ozzy,i don`t think any one here is trying to kill the sport at all and as i said on Sunday, the reason the details are not overly promoted is because if every one turned up to the AGM it would be caos,it is already well busy with all sections of rc cars represented.I have put the details for the AGM here and that will probably do for us(those who ARE interested in keeping our sport well and truely alive)
Cheers

Ozzy - we feel the words 'a few are trying to kill the sport' are ridiculous and uncalled for and obliviously directed at us.
This section will never move forward with the attitude that most people have.
Top drivers will only come into this section to be competitive and allowing Sat practice is an unfair advantage on Sunday only competitors, which ever level of driving you race at.
It is a shame most peoples opinions on this subject are from people who dont fully support the national series.
We think this proposal is not ready for serious discusion at this moment in time, so we would like to withdraw it.
Also when we first started racing at regional level they were only run on a Sunday, the only experience we gained was at club level.

I think we all need to remember this hobby its supposed to FUN.
Saturday practice and the social side of things I rarely attend due to family commitments but for those that can and do, fair play to you and practice all you like.
And yes i do go to most Nationals. (in fact came 3rd in the last with no practice) |

Completley agree with Covey's and Ozzy's last posts! Maybe not the kiiling of the sport bit tho!
I too like to race to do well, I like the competetive side of it, but at the end of the day it is just a hobby that is supposed to be fun!
I love the social side of it, and I think thats why many of the racers are still into the sport, it is a massive part of it. We have all made friends from being into this hobby!
I would like to get to the Sweetnap national on the saturday to have a social and a bit of a play on the track to get a nice setup for sundays racing, but I have to work, so I'll probably just come up on the sunday.
But I won't be stressing because others have been driving on the saturday!! I'll just turn up and do the best I can! But mainly I'll be having fun! Which is whats it's all about!!
I think one of the great things with LSOR is it's not to Anal with it's rules! It's more relaxed! We should keep it that way!
I am going to try and make the AGM this year, I havn't been before, but I would like to be there to put my vote in! _________________ Tried The Rest.......Now Drive The Best!!
