I have changed rays handset to a 2.4ghz radio, his toni started playing up and then gave up totally and was buzzing abnormaly, tried another one and the same happens, plug the same toni into my futaba 3vc and its fine, is thier something i dont know here Question

i think the 2.4GHZ is digital and the tonegawa isnt You may have to use a Rhino with the 2.4Ghz

if you using futaba 2.4 gig just set it to ppm and you can use the tonegawa

All correct Very Happy only digital servo's can be used with hrs/high speed settings. The Tonegawa is an anologue servo and can only be used with ppm/pcm.

trouble is, if your other servo's are digital your fooked i think? ie, your hydro and throttle servo's?

No, digital servos will all work perfectly on ppm/pcm/hrs settings.
