Thanks everyone for a great meeting. I enjoyed the Saturday Practice and Sunday Racing.
It was good to see some new face's. A good turn out i thought for both LS and Nitro Drivers.

Shame about the Nene's timing system not working correctly. This has never been an issue before and was a great shame but i have great faith that this issue will be resolved very soon. There is a great team working behind the scene on this.

Well done Darren for running the meeting as it was, i can imagine how difficult it was to run a meeting with manual counting.

A HUGE thank you has to go to Natalie and Julie for shouting the car numbers out as they went passed. Without them the meeting would not have run with lap counting at all.
It is a Thankless task what was done in race control on the Sunday just to enable us all to have finishing possitions.

Just remember, Both Natalie and Julie were NOT BRCA insured, therefore should not have been anywhere inside the Race Track at all, if it was not for them doing this for us our day would have been cut short. So once again i huge thank you to them and Darren.

I was also aware that the girls made every effort to make sure every driver had a number on there car. This was so THEY could see your car and count your laps.
If YOU did not put a sticker on your car or put it on the wrong side, then they could not have counted your laps and this WAS the case.
All 3 in race control made every effort to count the laps but i am well aware of how hard this would have been with all 10 cars passing at the same time.
So please next time, don't come to race control complaining about who won, who came where etc when some of you didn't have a sticker on at all. I can tell you they was a bit annoyed to say the least, those who cane and argued the point in front of them. You again know who you are.

During the Nitro Race's was bit of a shame to hear foul language from some drivers shouting at marshals. Just remember, YOUR driving the RC Car and the marshals are there to help you, not to be sworn at. The Nene is a Family and Friendly club so would be good if those who used bad language ( you know who you are ) please refrain from shouting it out. I am also sure others would say the same.

I was very impressed with the new Pit Ramp that was built also, A great job to those involved with that. Makes a big improvement to the track.

Weather was on our side, i am sure a few people went home with a bit of sun burn.

See you all at the next meeting.

Thanks
Ben

I thought Natalie and Julie did a great Job and obviously Darren aswell, It looked very stressfull for you three, especially when your having to deal with verbal abuse from certain drivers! Evil or Very Mad
Well done to you all for managing as well as you did! Thankyou!! Wink
Overall though a good meeting.

I think we should point out that the drivers in question where nitro drivers i did not see any large scale drivers moaning at all which was good, apart from me as it took one of them about 5 min to figure out how to start my car lol and yes i have to agree with ben good meeting and well run considering the problems, thank you to bens mum and natalie for helping counting the cars etc. Very Happy

It was a shame that what ever scale drivers had a grumble really Rolling Eyes it was our first combined meeting with rally cross so we was bound to have a bit of confusion as neither new each others cars too well, more so the 1/8th as a lot of them have never run large scale and they forget when ours stop they can restart them Rolling Eyes but all in all it was a good meeting and was a shame about the timing, which will be sorted by the next meeting.
The combined meetings help with the club revenue so it is good for the development of the club so we hope to run some more of these in the future, hopefully the next one will run smoothly, more so for poor old darren Confused Very Happy Very Happy
