KORT ( Kernow Off Road Track)
Higher Carnebone Farm,
Carnebone,
Helston
TR13 0EL
Hi Guys and Gals,
We are fast approaching round four of the BRCA LSOR at KORT on the 20th and the 21st June at our new track Nr Helston and its looking like it’s going to be a cracker of a race, as most of the LSOR guys have not driven at this track before, it should also be very interesting.
Already it looks as though there is going to be a great turnout for our first race in the LSOR National series, and I hope you all totally enjoy the facilities, racing, and KORT social scene.
The KORT track is a newly laid ASTRO “clockwise” track with Very high speed straights, high banked turns, and a big triple jump for those who are brave enough.
The “Pit lane” is big and wide, and the track complies with all known legislation as we are looking to HOST an EFRA meeting in the future. Gloves will be provided for Marshals but if you want to use your own that’s fine. There is a petrol station just a couple of minutes from the track which will be open all weekend.
The track has reasonable grip and is very well kept and maintained, the combined camping and pit area adjacent to the track is large and kept mowed, there is also a permanent toilet block in the pits area, and a Catering Van which will be in full swing over the weekend, with one of “Mothers” Curries or Chillies for Sat evening being planed i believe. I am also informed that there will be "fry up" breakfasts also available on sunday morning to mop up some of the alcohol
Some drivers and hardy "networkers" are arriving on Friday PM (19th) to get set up and get into the party groove… co-ordinated by the incredible on tour "DJ Covey"
Saturday (20th) will see practice kick off at mid day and food / fun planned for later in that evening, including "Mookys Shocking Corner"
and KORTS "WALL -OF- 5HITE" will add to the party interest.
Sunday will see racing underway promptly and hopefully we will have a day we will all look back on as a fun week end
Some campers are leaving on Monday and extending the weekend to take in some of the local sights etc... there is plenty to see in cornwall and some great beaches if the weather is good
KORT wish you all a brilliant weekends racing
Regards
John

Hi John
I believe that those who are are going down earlier than saturday will not be expecting to use the track as all nationals start sat dinner, i think they just need to know if the camping side is ok with father as you stated, i know carpy is going down thursday and i might myself if i can
Looking forward to it _________________ NVR Facilities Manager |

I HAVE HAD AN IDEA
shut up jonny
no seriously though.
if your anything like me at home you will have loads of JUSTIN parts for your cars (thats justin case!!! )
well heres my proposal BRING EM TO KORT.
the reason:-
we can hold an auction and we will sell the parts off to the highest bidder, the proceeds from all this will be donated to the same charity as the EFRA meet.I know that some of you may not be able to attend the efra so this will be a way of supporting a good cause.
please let me know what you all think and if any of you supplier chappies wish to put up a "lot" eg some new wheels or something it would be much appreciated.
or if im just full of 5hite tell me to shut up
regards

All being well, a few of us will be down KORT on the Friday afternoon fiddling around with the last minute things, making the pace look its best, especially as Johnny boy has praised us up so much, we'll have to make a bit of an effort!
So we will looking forward to meeting those arriving on the Friday, and getting you settled in.
See you soon,
Sprig. |

Mooky....... you are normally a total plonker
but i must admit this auction thing is a good idea of yours and as you say for a good cause !
but we still have to have the "shocking Corner" for our guests
