well its not often i moan BUT I WILL NOW !!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

after working a full night shift then driving to sweetnap i made it intime to race the heats.
FANTASTIC really enjoyed it
BUT THE FINALS TAKE THE URINE!!

ok so there was only 2 of us racing the outlaw class, but what annoyed me was
a/ the length of time we had to wait for marshalls to appear
b/ we were kept hanging around on the rostrum for the race to start
c/ marshalls casually walking to turn over a car
d/ marshalls looking at a car on its roof and not moving
e/ the general lack of support for us

how would you feel if it was you and say mr oddy in a 2 man race and that was how you were treated.
it was almost as if we were an inconvenience not a final.
wether everyone likes it or not we pay our money we drive the miles we at least deserve some support.

thank you

BTW
love the new layout and look forward to next month.
thanks to mr manley for the in race carb tweek! Wink

Thanks Sweetnap,

After we got our head around those hairpins ! ! it was great fun. i still reckon the track is made so intersting by those large contours and mega off camber corners to keep you awake.

i had the best race of my life, in one of the heats with James McCarthy.

thanks James ! !

some sections i could gain on him a few feet and some i lost a few feet, but we battled to the post, we had a slight tangle one corner from home, and he got a quicker drive out, and pipped me to the post, but it was still awesome, and i will remember it. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

gotta give the car a wash, and a spot of oil, and we are ready for the next one.

CHEERS

Great day! Was good to see some new faces, even better that they had Bajas!
Quite impressed my car held together for a change, I wonder if it was the rain/mud/sand that helped stick it together...apologies to whoever I hit head on - atleast my car came off worse ... note to self, look where I'm going in future Wink

Many Thanks to the sweetnap crew, not been for 2 years and the tracksas good as I remembered, really enjoyed it, despite the weather Cool

Just a quick query from myself re the qualifying heats being seeded on ability ... how come I get put in with the novices, I know I've only attended 2 nationals this year, but I wouldn't class myself as a novice as i've been racing since 2004 Shocked .. or am I just crap Laughing Laughing Laughing

Joking apart though as well as being frustrating for me (sorry heat 1 drivers if I yelled a little) trying get through traffic, but its probably off putting for them with me trying hoon round at a much faster pace .... so how are the driver ratings worked out I guess is the question, and does the race director have any discretionary input?

Matt
