ive been lookin at front brake set ups on hormann and contrast cars and noticed that the calipers are mounted towards the front of the the car. they should be mounted towards the rear for smoother braking and this would keep the car flatter under braking. front brakes which are mounted towards the front should be for front wheel drive cars and front brakes which are mounted towards the rear are for rear wheel drive cars. its just an observation i have made can someone shed any more light Confused

And mine Very Happy

Interesting statement though, several years ago front mounted, rear mounted and indeed twin calipers on each hub (front and rear piped together) were tested (on road but the principles are the same). The only noticeable effect was the free running/drag without any braking being used, the actual braking effect was the same, and in theory it should be any way (assuming there's no flex/movement in the hub, spindle or bearings) Idea
