Hi all,

Just a quick question for those in the know. I'm currently running two std size futaba BLS152 servos, one for the throttle and rear brake, the other for the front brakes. The front brake servo is using the 3rd channel brake mix function for setup on my futaba 3VCS transmitter. The steering uses one rhino servo, but I would like to use two............

Hence my question........

To use two rhinos I need one to work in the reverse mode of the other (push and pull) and hence I can't use a Y lead to let two servos run off channel 1. If I use my 3rd channel to control the 2nd steering servo, then I can't setup my front rear brake balance, which is currently set via the brake mixing function on the transmitter.

Does anyone have any advice as I have seen cars running 4 servos, how do you set them all up?

i run 4 servos on my hormann and i use a Y lead for the 2x steering servos

Thanks for the reply, I thought that might be the case, which is feasible when the two steering servos are sat next to each other with their servo horns at opposite sides, but to make the packaging easier in my baja I really need the servos with their horns in the same position, hence I need one servo to do the reverse of the other in order to push and pull.

Is is possible to somehow reverse what a servo does by internal mods in the servo so that I could use a Y lead?

Edited to add, could I swap over the internal potentiometer wiring to achieve a reversed servo action compared to the std rhino config?

Thanks for the link, that would indeed solve all my problems. Does anyone know whether it would handle the current draw of two rhino servos?

Hi Karl, you could try changing the red & black wires around on the servo lead plug, this should reverse the servo. Glyn.

HAA HAA I Think not !!!!

The Rhino as with all the multiplex digital servos are programmble (bloody spelling)

I have a multiplex servo tester programer plug it in and push a button and hey presto its going backwards

red is positive and black is neg, the yellow is signal do not swap the wires round unless you want a nice little fire

from our chat the other day, one of the lads said there is one on the hpi-Europe forum. They have done what we was talking about. (not had a chance to look at it yet)

On older servos, reversing the red and black, had to be done with reversing the pot as well. not sure if that still follows for these.

however i think Stevo's advice is very sound, leave it well alone.
