From the other thread regarding the efra agm, you'll see there is now a full European Championship event for off road, being held at the Fehring in Austria from 27th July to the 1st August 2010.

As efra rep i need to apply for entries for the event for the uk drivers, and have the application into efra asap. The entry fee is currently set at 75 euros and you would also need an efra licence for this event, and they're £40 so it's not a cheap entry, but remember that it's virtualy a full week of racing!.

Please contact me or put your name down on this thread for a place by Sunday 22nd November, but only apply if your serious about going. The brca section will be charged by efra for the places i apply for, so even if you decide not to go next year....you will be billed!!!!!!!!!!!

Brca applications;-

Copy/paste the above list, or pm me, or e-mail me to be added.

Hi Ian

I am speaking to a couple of the lads about this one, you have a date of the 22nd this month, if we make up our mind to go, can we speak to you about it in Valencia this month, we will be trackside Thursday morning, or do you need to know before Spain.

Tony

I have a dead line to get applications in by, and that's the end of November. After that time i can request places if there's any left or get re-allocations (withdrawn drivers) next year.

Initialy i don't think it will be overbooked, but later next year i think it will be. Just let me know asap Wink Very Happy

Ian

Depending on which way you go it'll be around 1300 miles ish each way and we managed it in a vw polo with all the race stuff and camping gear (look for Gratz on your map) as it's nearly in Slovenia, and there are quite a few tolls to pay (again depending on which way you go).
Aside from the fact the surrounding area and drive there was stunning we had a great crack at the 2007 on road Euros and the people there were a good laugh I'm sure you guys will also have a great time.

Mike

You can see your car everywhere pete. The crossover you can look through. However the track never meets 4m width...

Nevertheless guys the track is among the top 3 tracks of Europe I ever saw, according to some the very best ever. There is one very difficult section though where everybody faced problems estimating where his car was at the track.
That is not in most far field, but right after the far big jump after taking the corner to the left (at almost full speed) the straigth part that then comes. there you can hardly estimate if your car is on or next to the track.

Very challenging though but Lyon would have be nice to see that back on again. Truly a shame there has not been a GP on that track for the last 2 years as that is still no 1 for me and for many that raced there.

After racing at this Austrian track at WMW you can go to some jacuzzi showers on the opposite side of the rostrum guys to wash of the dirt. All you can imagine the Wendler brothers have arranged/build.
And yes they know how to party there as well till the sun rises.
I hope you can sing well Shocked

Okay 1 complaint from the GP last year. The stop/go area. Not on a smart point IMO was chosen. As the cars pass by at quite a high speed in front of the rostrum. You need to stop almost in the ideal line in front of the pit. Very easy for someone to crash into your car.
A 1/8 scale can hide behind the little stone that is there, a car we drive cannot. It was more luck then wisdom we did not see any heavy crashes there. Also dangerous for the ref at that spot.
Much better they place the stop/go area elsewhere at a slow spot. Right after the 180 turn is more save and out of the way of anybody, just another 15m to the left. I hope they will be wise on this.

Question 1):
Why is Kort UK GP only just 2 weeks after this planned?
Why not at least a month later?

Question 2 @Ian):
As far as I am aware, there is no EFRA licence needed.
Your national licence should cover the possibility to enrole and attend the meeting.
When overbooked then the EFRA licence thingy will start to play a role right?

Happy racing to you all that go.

You don't need an efra licence for efra gp's, open meetings or international meetings, but you do for a European Championship and World Championship meetings Idea

I was not aware of that and actually do not see why it should be like that.
With your nat.licence all is already covered insurance wise.
Then why invest in some extra paper with another picture on it when we already have one Question

I can somehow understand organisers will ask a bit higher fee for a bigger/longer lasting event.
But I do not see any logic in why this extra paper is needed.
It will not provide a better race or whatsoever.

I think without this, you would see a bigger turn up at the race which is I think only in the good interest of the hobby.

we at KORT are currently holding back on releasing our 2010 calender until we have finalised the date for the EFRA event . and we are more than happy to place it on a date that accomodates everyone .
please liase with ian on any date proposals as soon as possible so we can then re-arrange our race dates.
